Arrived on Long Island at 8pm Friday night (7/24). Left Florence, S.C. at 7:50am, did not hit traffic until Alexandria, Va. Got there about 1:30pm and the remainder of trip through D.C., Baltimore and NYC took 6.5 more hours. Bumper to bumper traffic takes the joy out of the ride, especially in a HOT car. Hung out a bit with my son and daughter. Pic is taken from car as I passed underneath exit sign for L.I.E. 495...nice touch, eh??
